Dear Insiders,

Lately, I've caught myself comparing who I am today with who I was a few years ago.

Back then, I could work longer hours, attend evening events, say yes to more opportunities and somehow still have energy left at the end of the day.

Today, life looks different.

I have a young daughter. My parents are getting older. There are more people depending on me, and more responsibilities competing for my attention.

Yet sometimes, I still expect myself to perform as though nothing has changed.

And that's when I realised something.

Many of us are measuring ourselves against a version of ourselves that existed under completely different circumstances.

The woman who had fewer responsibilities.

More time.

More energy.

Fewer people needing her.

No wonder we often feel like we're falling behind.

We're holding ourselves to rules that no longer fit the season we're in.

The more I think about it, the more I believe that sustainable ambition isn't about maintaining the same level of output forever.

It's about adapting.

Some seasons are for growth.

Others are for recovery.

Some are for building.

Others are for maintaining what we've already built.

Perhaps success in this season isn't about doing more.

Perhaps it's about protecting your energy, focusing on what matters most and letting go of expectations that no longer serve you.

The goal isn't to become the person you were five years ago.

The goal is to become the person this season is asking you to be.

I'd love to leave you with a question: What rule are you still holding yourself to that no longer fits your current season of life?
