Dear Insiders,

This week, my husband and I finally sent out a proposal for his esports company, Proving Grounds.

If you looked at our calendars, it would probably seem like a fairly ordinary task. Write a proposal. Review it. Send it.

What our calendars didn't show were the two evenings we spent sitting at the dining table, talking through every idea, challenging each other's thinking and refining the proposal until we were both happy with it.

When we finally clicked "Send", we both breathed a sigh of relief.

And then...we got on with our day.

It wasn't until a few days later that I realised we'd forgotten to celebrate.

Not just the proposal, but what it represented.

For the first time in a long time, we weren't pulling in different directions. We had a shared vision for how we want to grow Proving Grounds and build something we're both proud of. (If you're curious, you can see what we're building at pgrounds.sg.)

That alignment was the real win.

It made me wonder how often we do this in our own lives.

We finish the presentation.

We finally make that difficult phone call.

We survive a challenging week.

We book the medical appointment we've been putting off.

Then we immediately move on to the next thing on our to-do list.

Somewhere along the way, we've convinced ourselves that only the big milestones deserve celebrating.

But sustainable ambition isn't built on promotions, awards or major breakthroughs alone.

It's built on hundreds of small moments that quietly move us forward.

Maybe today, the win is simply recognising one of them.

🌿 Gentle July Challenge

This week, celebrate one small win you've been overlooking.

Treat yourself to that Frappuccino. Order dessert. Take a longer lunch break. Or simply pause for a moment and tell yourself, "I'm proud of that."

If you'd like, hit reply and tell me what you're celebrating, or share it on Instagram and tag @thewellnessinsider so I can cheer you on.

Gentle July – Day 1: Let yourself off the hook for one thing today.
